Dancing Feathers

This selection of images was shot in Somerset in one of the ancient woodlands towards the end of winter. I came across a very small feather that had one end snared in a tether of a web. This resulted in the feather dancing in the wind like a flag as the wind pulled in against its web hold.
It danced around as I desperately tried to capture its movements leaving me a times wondering what on earth i was doing knees in the mud and thinking if I would ever get it into focus. Finally i managed to get a few shots that i was happy with and created this collection. The gentleness of the shots and the subtle movement is a far cry form the process of capturing the images.

All images are available to purchase through the gallery and are all limited editions of 35. These are printed by The Ink Pot based in Bruton Somerset.
